This picture required using several programs. I used trueSpace 3.2 to model the shapes and render the picture. I used Paint Shop Pro 5 to paint the texture for the shade, insert the scroll work, and create its transparency. TurboCAD provided the precision drawing ability to create the scroll work around the edge of the shade. Then I saved the shade texture to a .tga file for use in trueSpace.

The lamp design is based on one I saw in a stained glass magazine.

The gold draped cords were challenging. I meticulously swept (extruded) circles around the body of the lamp to produce them. More recent versions of trueSpace have a bend tool that would be good for these cords.
