This picture was an assignment for a painting class. The teacher arranged many items on some blankets and boxes. Rather than create a picture featuring many of these objects, I chose to select these two.

I had been struggling with acrylics on previous pieces for the class. My teacher saw what I was trying to do with the light and recommended oils. I found that the oil paints were better suited to my goals.
