For Christmas 2005 I made a computer animated movie! I gave a customized version of the movie to several people for Christmas. Since the file is large I put it on a CD. A picture of the toy train from the movie is shown here.

Since thirty frames are needed for each second of the movie I focused on minimizing the time needed to render each frame. I made the models and textures for the objects simple, used only two lights, and selected rendering options to reduce the production time. This minimalism provided different challenges than the complexity of the previous pictures.

I worked in some of my spare time for about two months to make the movie. Most of that was for learning and experimentation. There are fourteen of these movies with the ending customized for each recipient.
