I won a modeling challenge with this picture. The contest theme was “transport of delight”. I made an Egyptian war chariot.

Plans or diagrams for real Egyptian chariots were hard to find so I invented my own engineering from pictures of them. The ancient Egyptians had the tools and methods to build one like this but they would have used different construction. From reading about their chariots I learned that they had wooden replaceable “tires” held on to the wheels with leather or animal gut straps. I also read that earlier Egyptian chariots were all wood but that later ones had some metal parts. The model has 127 parts.
