Beautiful shadows on the dunes this year.

I usually don't go to the visitor's center or the picnic areas. This time I took some photos there.

My goal is to cross the dunes and explore the flat beyond. Clouds are making wonderful shadows on the dunes. I saw new formations and surfaces.

 I have not seen this before. Up to three inches long. Probably wind erosion.

 I went to some bushes in the flat and rested there. I'm not sure where the boundary of the permit required area is or if it is marked. It is not much farther west. Maybe one half mile.
